This costume is being sold online at Target (direct link). I’m used to the stereotypical witch stuff at Halloween. Sometimes I even buy a few things for my Samhain decor. I just bought cookie cutters, in fact, to prepare for a Samhain party I’m having next month. However, I find this costume extremely offensive as a practicing pagan born into a lengthy family history of pagans who have had to hide what we are in order to avoid societal persecution. I don’t think I need to explain more about why this is crossing several lines. Even my non-pagan friends have been asking Target to stop selling it.
